Textile collection

The textile collection, composed of several liturgical vestments and by a significant nucleus of fabric samples, is essentially known and referred to by the presence in the exhibition of the 14th-century military piece of dress, «gambeson», King Dom João I wore during the Battle of Aljubarrota and that he later offered to Saint Mary of Guimarães to thank Her for the victory in that battle.
