Saint Michael is represented standing, wearing long clothes and holding a scale with two figures. At his feet, there’s a monster, the symbol of evil.
In this sculpture, he’s weighing the souls in the Judgement Day, in order to calculate the value of their actions.
According to Mário Barroca, this sculpture is attributed to the school of Master João Afonso.
