This chalice in mannerist style has a circular base, a stem with a baluster-shaped knop and a plain cup. The engraved decoration uses the ornamental motifs made common by Flemish engravings of the time and shows a sign identifying it as having belonged to the Confraria do Espírito Santo – the dove engraved on the foot inside a cartouche.
