This is a pair of symmetric and wingless angel candleholders that still keep the natural colour of the oak wood, that is to say, without any vestige of polychromy. These are very elegant figures, placed in a sinuous position and they invited the faithful to participate in the religious ceremony and, at the same time, lighted the scene, drawing the attention to the solemnity. They wear garments with intensely agitated and ample drapery, as shown by the extreme movement of the flying mantle. They have an elegant hairstyle and they wear a sort of warrior’s cuirass, as well as high boots open in the front, allowing the toes to be seen.
