In this sculpture, God the Father is represented in full body, sitting on a kind of armchair, with a beard and long hair and wearing a crown on his head. He holds, in front of him, the cross with his crucified Son, Jesus Christ. Over the cross, there’s the white dove with open wings, the symbol of the Holy Spirit.
The Mystery of the Holy Trinity derives from several texts of the New Testament. A single God in three persons (in this case, Jesus, the Son, God, the Father and the Holy Spirit, the dove).
